Premature ovarian failure (POF) is a common endocrine disease causing female infertility. It is characterized by high gonadotropin expression of follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), low estradiol (E2) expression, and follicular dysplasia in women aged less than 40 years. it is related to very early aging of the ovaries.
Causes of POF are unknown and related to many factors such as genetic defects, autoimmunity, chemotherapy injury and idiopathic. Currently, the prevention and treatment of POF are extremely limited. Hormone replacement therapy cannot recover ovarian function.
Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) are highly important because of their regenerative properties. Human mesenchymal stem cell (hMSC) transplantation has a promising treatment for POF. MSCs are multipotent stem cells that have poor immunogenicity.
They are harvested from adult tissues, such as bone marrow (BM), umbilical cord (UC), peripheral blood, adipose tissue (AF), and placenta.. They are an excellent source of growth factors/cytokines. Injecting MSCs in ovarian tissue or ovarian artery can have a regenerative effect on POF with several pregnancies reported using this technique.

. Female Genital Mutilation (FGM): ritual cutting of the external female genitalia. It violates women’s bodies, damages sexuality, psychological well-being and may even lead to death.
. Forced marriage: marriage concluded under force, either physical, emotional or psychological pressure (child marriages).
. Online violence: illegal or harmful behaviour against women, includes threats, offensive or sexual explicit emails, sharing of private images or videos without consent, photoshop photos, or inappropriate advances on social networking sites.
